About $92 YouTube TV Settlement: How to Claim (No Proof)

What happened

Class period: February 1, 2017 through October 29, 2021

• A class action called Dutcher v. Google LLC, et al. was filed against YouTube, LLC and Google LLC in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara (Case No. 20CV366905)
• The lawsuit claims YouTube and Google did not follow all of the disclosure rules in California's automatic renewal law when they sold auto-renewing YouTube TV subscriptions
• YouTube and Google deny any wrongdoing and say they settled to avoid the cost of a long court fight
• Google agreed to pay $7,500,000 into a settlement fund. The fund is non-reversionary, so no leftover money goes back to Google
• It affects people in California who paid for at least one YouTube TV renewal term billed through YouTube between February 1, 2017 and October 29, 2021

• You were a person in California during the class period
• You enrolled in and paid for at least one renewal term of a YouTube TV subscription
• You bought the subscription through YouTube billing for personal, family, or household use
• You did NOT sign up through an iOS app from Apple's App Store
• Your subscription was not cancelled during a free trial
• Your subscription was not fully refunded by YouTube or Google
• You are not a YouTube or Google employee, the presiding judge, or court staff

How to file

1. Go to https://www.youtubetvsettlement.com/form/claim and click "Submit a Claim"
2. Log in using the LoginID and PIN printed on the notice that was emailed or mailed to you
3. If you cannot find your ID and PIN, email info@YouTubeTVSettlement.com with your full name and mailing address to request them
4. Complete the short claim form and pick how you want to be paid
5. You can also download the paper Claim Form and mail it to the Settlement Administrator
6. Submit online, or mail with a postmark, no later than August 30, 2026

Proof required

• No receipts, invoices, or billing records are required
• You do need the LoginID and PIN from your settlement notice to file online
• Email the Settlement Administrator to get a replacement ID and PIN if your notice is lost

Payment timing

Payments go out only after the Court grants final approval and any appeals are resolved. The final approval hearing is set for October 15, 2026. Payment comes as a mailed check or an electronic payment, including ACH transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or a virtual prepaid card sent to your email.

• The $92.26 figure is an estimate, not a promise. The final amount depends on how many people file and on the fees and awards the Court approves
• Payments are pro rata, meaning the fund is split among everyone who files a valid claim
• If you do nothing, you get no money and you still give up your right to sue over these claims
