$28.39 State Farm Louisiana Settlement: How to Claim (No Proof)

What happened

Class period: May 17, 2022 through May 21, 2026

• Deborah Robin sued State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, Case No. 24-391-SDD-RLB.
• The lawsuit says State Farm broke its own auto policies by paying Louisiana total loss claims without paying the full "Purchasing Fees" owed.
• Purchasing Fees means sales tax, title fees (including transfer handling fees), notary fees, registration and license plate transfer fees, and tag fees. These are the costs you pay to put a replacement car on the road.
• State Farm denies it did anything wrong and says it followed the policies and the law. It agreed to settle to end the case.
• The Court gave preliminary approval. A Final Approval Hearing is set for September 17, 2026.

• You were a Louisiana policyholder or insured under an applicable State Farm entity
• You submitted a covered first-party private passenger auto physical damage claim
• The claim was filed between May 17, 2022 and May 21, 2026
• The claim resulted in a total loss payment from State Farm
• That payment did not include Purchasing Fees such as sales tax, title fees, notary fees, registration and license plate transfer fees, or tag fees
• You received a mailed or emailed Notice from Kroll Settlement Administration

How to file

1. Go to https://louisianafeessettlement.com/ and click "Make a Claim"
2. Enter your Claimant ID Number from the mailed or emailed Notice, or use your last name plus your policy number or claim number
3. Complete and submit the online form by 11:59 p.m. CT on October 19, 2026
4. To file by mail, sign the pre-filled Claim Form from your mailed Notice, tear at the perforation, and mail it postmarked by October 19, 2026
5. If you did not get a Claim Form, use the "Contact Us" page to ask Kroll to send you one

Proof required

• No receipts, repair bills, or other documents are required
• You need your Claimant ID Number from the Notice, or your last name with your policy number or claim number
• Eligibility is based on State Farm's own claim records

Payment timing

Payments are expected after the Court grants final approval at the September 17, 2026 hearing. The settlement website does not list the payment method -- check https://louisianafeessettlement.com/ for updates. If your address changes after you file, contact the Claims Administrator or your payment may not reach you.

• Doing nothing means you give up your right to sue State Farm over Purchasing Fees and you still get no money. Filing is the only way to get paid.
• The opt-out and objection deadlines both passed on August 18, 2026. Filing a claim is the only option left.
• Attorney fees of up to $205,000 and a $5,000 service award to the class representative are paid separately by State Farm. They do not reduce your $28.39.
• Official emails come from the domain louisianafeessettlement@e.emailksa.com. If an email asks for a Social Security number or a payment to release your funds, it is not from this settlement.
