Simplilearn Privacy Settlement: Equal Cash Share of $3M
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Simplilearn privacy settlement: claim an equal cash share of $3M if you used the site or app from Feb 2023 to Sept 2026. File by Dec 15, 2026. You do not need to have finished a course, or even started one. Browsing counts, which is more credit than most online courses give.
What happened
Class period: February 26, 2023 through September 16, 2026
- The lawsuit says Simplilearn Americas, Inc. shared its platform users' personally identifiable information with third parties without consent.
- This allegedly violated the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA), a federal law that protects information showing what video materials or services a person requested or obtained.
- The case is Beninati v. Simplilearn Americas, Inc., Case No. 2026-016188-CA-01, in the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Miami-Dade County, Florida.
- Simplilearn denies wrongdoing but agreed to a $3,000,000 settlement.
- It affects anyone who accessed or used the Simplilearn website, apps, or learning portals in the U.S. between February 26, 2023 and September 16, 2026.
Your home address, phone number, relatives, or other personal details may already appear on data broker and people-search sites.
This settlement may pay eligible claimants for what happened here — worth filing. But data brokers are a separate, ongoing problem — hundreds of companies collect and sell your personal information continuously, from public records, loyalty programs, and more. They don’t need a hack to get it. Incogni sends removal requests to 420+ data brokers on your behalf and continues checking for reappearing data.
