- It claims that from December 20, 2023 through June 11, 2026, Forbes used trackers on its websites to collect visitors' IP addresses and unique identifiers without consent
- It claims Forbes shared that data with third parties, and that Forbes and those third parties used it to target advertising
- The lawsuit says this violated the California Invasion of Privacy Act (Cal. Pen. Code § 638.51) and the California Unfair Competition Law
- Forbes denies the allegations and any wrongdoing. The Court has not decided who is right. Both sides agreed to a $10 million settlement to avoid the cost and risk of a trial

- You are not a Forbes employee, officer, director, or agent, a family member of a Forbes officer or director, or an employee of Class Counsel's law firms

- Go to the official settlement website and click "Submit Claim"
- Complete the online Proof of Claim form with your name and contact information
- Submit online by November 9, 2026
