About $150 GEICO Settlement: Do You Qualify? (No proof)
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Kohama v. GEICO settlement: about $150, paid automatically, no claim form. Pick digital payment by Jan 14, 2027 if you are on the class list. It covers people who disputed a stranger's accident on their C.L.U.E. report and were told it checked out. It did not.
What happened
Class period: March 13, 2022 through May 1, 2026 (dispute filing window)
- GEICO reports auto insurance claim information to LexisNexis, which runs the C.L.U.E. (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) database that car insurers use to set rates
- The lawsuit says GEICO reported claim information that did not belong to the consumer, and it landed on their C.L.U.E. report
- When consumers disputed the wrong information through LexisNexis, the lawsuit says GEICO failed to reinvestigate, correct it, or mark it as disputed, as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires
- The lead plaintiff says the wrong information raised her car insurance rates
- GEICO denies the claims. The court has not decided who is right. GEICO agreed to a $1,650,000 settlement fund to resolve the case

They don’t need a hack to get it. Incogni sends removal requests to 420+ data brokers on your behalf and continues checking for reappearing data.
