Knott's & Great America Fee Settlement: $8 Cash or Credit
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Knott's & Great America fee settlement: get $8 cash by filing a claim, or an $8 Six Flags credit automatically. File by Dec 22, 2026. The lawsuit was about a processing fee on park tickets, and the default remedy is a credit to buy more park tickets. Filing for cash is how you break the loop.
What happened
Class period: June 28, 2020 through July 1, 2024
- The lawsuit says Six Flags (Cedar Fair, L.P., Cedar Fair Management, Inc., and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation) charged a processing fee on online non-season tickets that was not properly disclosed and was a junk fee under California law.
- The tickets were for Knott's Berry Farm and Knott's Soak City (bought at www.knotts.com) and California's Great America (bought at www.cagreatamerica.com).
- The case is Isayan v. Cedar Fair, L.P., Case No. 24STCV16212, in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
- Six Flags denies wrongdoing but agreed to pay $8 to each class member, about $11,241,880 in total cash or credit.
- It affects California citizens who bought these tickets online between June 28, 2020 and July 1, 2024 and paid a processing fee.
