FCA US Overtime Pay Settlement 2026 -- Hourly Workers Get Paid Without Filing a Claim
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
FCA US agreed to pay $3.79M to settle claims it miscalculated overtime for hourly workers -- if you qualify, you may get paid automatically. Opt out by June 22, 2026. They build Jeeps and Rams, but apparently the overtime math needed a recall.
What happened
Class period: February 10, 2020, through May 12, 2025
- FCA US, LLC -- the automaker behind Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram -- is accused of improperly calculating the regular rate of pay used to compute overtime wages for hourly production workers at its U.S. facilities
- Plaintiffs allege this error caused hourly employees to receive less overtime pay than they were legally owed over a period spanning more than five years
- Claims were brought under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Illinois Minimum Wage Law, the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act, the Ohio Minimum Fair Wage Standards Act, and the Ohio Prompt Pay Act
- FCA US denies all wrongdoing but agreed to a $3,795,000 settlement to resolve the dispute
- The class covers up to approximately 68,000 current and former hourly employees who worked at any U.S. FCA facility between February 10, 2020, and May 12, 2025
What you can get
Cash payment
Proportional share of net settlement
Based on weeks worked between February 10, 2020, and May 12, 2025; paid 50% as wages (W-2) and 50% as liquidated damages (1099)

Extra details
- This is an automatic-payment settlement -- most class members do not need to file anything; simply verify your postcard information is accurate
- If you cash your settlement check, you are consenting to join the FLSA portion of the action and releasing all covered wage and hour claims against FCA US for the class period
- If 10% or more of class members opt out, FCA US has the right to void the entire settlement
- Dispute your payment calculation with the administrator by June 10, 2026 -- that deadline is earlier than the opt-out and objection deadline
- Watch for scams -- use only the official settlement website and administrator contact information listed here
