- Plaintiffs say AMN Healthcare, Inc. and AMN Healthcare Language Services, Inc. recorded or monitored language interpretation calls and videos between patients and medical providers in California
- They say this happened without telling patients or getting their consent, in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA)
- AMN denies all wrongdoing but agreed to a $4.5 million settlement
- AMN says it told staff to stop recording sessions in January 2024 and to stop all monitoring in November 2024
- The case is Carrero, et al. v. AMN Healthcare, Inc. et al., Case No. 37-2023-00052448-CU-NP-CTL, in San Diego County Superior Court

How to file
- Go to the official settlement website and fill out the Registration form
- Check your email for your Class Member ID
- Use your Class Member ID to complete the online Claim Form by October 27, 2026
- Or download a paper Claim Form from the Documents page (available in 12 languages) and mail it postmarked by October 27, 2026
