What happened

Class period: January 11, 2021 through July 7, 2026

  • Sportsman's Guide, LLC sells outdoor and hunting gear online at sportsmansguide.com
  • A class action lawsuit in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, Pennsylvania says the website shared details about firearm orders and reservations with third parties without customer consent
  • The suit claims this broke two Pennsylvania laws: the Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act (WESCA) and the Uniform Firearms Act (UFA), 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. Section 6111(i)
  • Sportsman's Guide denies any wrongdoing and says it followed the law at all times. The Court has not decided who is right. Both sides agreed to settle to avoid a longer, costlier case
  • The case is DeLong v. Sportsman's Guide, LLC, Case No. CV-25-000911, before the Honorable George A. Pagano
  • The settlement creates a fund of up to $1,015,000 to pay claims, legal fees, notice costs, and administration costs

What is this lawsuit about?

Sportsman's Guide denies wrongdoing, and the Court has not ruled on the claims.
When will I get paid?
The final approval hearing is set for October 28, 2026. If the Court approves the settlement, payments go out within 30 days after approval is final and any appeals are done. Checks expire 90 days after they are issued, so cash it before it becomes a souvenir.

You stay in the class, get no payment, and still give up your right to sue Sportsman's Guide over these claims.
