- The case is Brand, et al. v. The University of Phoenix, Inc., Case No. 2026LA000170, in the Circuit Court for Sangamon County, Illinois
- It affects people in the U.S. enrolled from April 1, 2023, to October 6, 2026, and people in Illinois enrolled from April 1, 2020, to October 6, 2026
- The school also agreed to tell new enrollees about its cookies and tracking tools through a website banner and its privacy policy

This settlement may pay eligible claimants for what happened here — worth filing. But data brokers are a separate, ongoing problem — hundreds of companies collect and sell your personal information continuously, from public records, loyalty programs, and more. They don’t need a hack to get it. Incogni sends removal requests to 420+ data brokers on your behalf and continues checking for reappearing data.
