$3 Million LifeStance Pixel Settlement: Claim With No Proof

What happened

Class period: March 1, 2020 through April 30, 2023

• Montana Strong and Debra Yick sued LifeStance Health Group, Inc. in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, Case No. CV-23-00682-PHX-KML
• The lawsuit claims LifeStance used third-party tracking technologies, commonly called pixels, on its public website at lifestance.com
• Plaintiffs allege those pixels collected and disclosed patients' personally identifiable information to third parties including Meta Platforms, Inc. and Google LLC without permission, in violation of state and federal statutes
• The alleged tracking covers the period from March 1, 2020 through April 30, 2023
• LifeStance denies and continues to deny any wrongdoing. The case never went to trial, and the Court has not ruled for either side
• LifeStance agreed to a non-reversionary Settlement Fund of $3,027,874.44, split into two subclass funds, plus an agreement to stop using non-HIPAA-compliant third-party tracking pixels for five years

• Subclass 1: you were part of LifeStance's total patient population and booked at least one session through LifeStance's online booking tool at lifestance.com between March 1, 2020 and April 30, 2023
• Subclass 2: you were part of LifeStance's total patient population between March 1, 2020 and April 30, 2023 but did not book through the online booking tool
• You are not an officer or director of LifeStance, or part of an entity LifeStance or its parents control
• You are not Defendant's counsel or in-house counsel who advised on the case
• You are not a member of the judiciary assigned to the case, their family, or their staff
• You did not timely and validly request exclusion

How to file

1. Go to lifestancepixelsettlement.com and open the Submit Claim page
2. Pick the correct form for your group: the SubClass 1 Claim Form if you booked a session through the online booking tool, or the SubClass 2 Claim Form if you were a patient but did not book that way
3. Complete the form online by September 29, 2026
4. Or download a paper Claim Form from the Important Documents page, or request one at 1-866-764-4190
5. Mail paper forms postmarked no later than September 29, 2026 to LifeStance Pixel Settlement, Attn: Claim Form Submissions, 1650 Arch Street, Suite 2210, Philadelphia, PA 19103
6. Choose your payment method on the Claim Form, and tell the Administrator if your contact or payment info changes later

Proof required

• No receipts or supporting documents are required to submit a Claim Form
• Submit the correct Claim Form for your subclass by the deadline
• Include your Notice ID number when writing to the Settlement Administrator so they can find your record

Payment timing

Payments are issued by the Settlement Administrator after the Settlement is approved and becomes final, using the payment option you select on the Claim Form. Approval can take time, and appeals may delay payment further. Check lifestancepixelsettlement.com for updates.

• The two subclass funds are separate, so your payment comes from your own subclass fund, not the full $3,027,874.44
• The pro rata split is per claimant, not per appointment or per website visit, so extra visits do not increase your payment
• The Final Approval Hearing was rescheduled as to time only, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. MST on October 16, 2026, and the date and time can still change without further notice
• To opt out, your written request must be received on or before August 31, 2026 at LifeStance Pixel Settlement, Attn: Exclusion Requests, P.O. Box 58220, Philadelphia, PA 19102. You cannot opt out by phone or email
• Objections must be filed with the Court and served on counsel on or before August 31, 2026
• Class Counsel will ask for attorneys' fees up to 33 percent of the Settlement Fund plus costs, and Service Awards up to $2,500 for each Class Representative, paid from the fund
• The release does not cover personal injury or medical malpractice claims related to medical services
• File only through the official settlement site. Look-alike sites tend to appear once a settlement gets attention
