$99 Million John Deere Repair Settlement: How to Claim
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Claim a share of $99 million by Dec 31, 2026, if you paid a John Deere dealer to repair large farm equipment from 2018 to 2026. The good news is that every labor hour the dealer billed you now counts in your favor.
What happened
Class period: January 10, 2018 through May 18, 2026
- Plaintiffs sued Deere & Company, doing business as John Deere, under federal antitrust laws.
- The lawsuit says Deere withheld repair tools for large farm equipment that runs on electronic control units (ECUs) from customers and independent repair providers (IRPs).
- Because of this, customers had to use Deere authorized dealers for diagnosis, maintenance, and repair, and paid more than they should have.
- Deere denies any wrongdoing. The Court has not decided who is right.
- The settlement includes $99 million in cash, plus interest since January 15, 2026, and injunctive relief requiring Deere to make repair tools available to farmers and IRPs.
- It affects people and businesses who bought repair services for Deere large farm equipment in the U.S. between January 10, 2018 and May 18, 2026.
