By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Get up to 100% of what you paid for Strides testosterone gel back. Claims are due September 16, 2026, and proof of purchase is required. Your payout depends on what you actually paid and when you bought it, so the pharmacy printout nobody ever saves is suddenly worth digging up.
What happened
Class period: June 1, 2022 through July 31, 2025
- Strides Pharma, Inc. makes a generic prescription testosterone gel sold in the United States
- A class action called Painter v. Strides Pharma, Inc., No. 7:25-CV-4189, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in May 2025
- The plaintiffs say the gel contained benzene, a chemical classified as a human carcinogen, above the limit the FDA allows in prescription drugs
- They say the ingredient behind it was Carbomer 940, and that Strides recalled hundreds of thousands of cartons in 2025 because of benzene levels
- The lawsuit claims buyers paid full price for a product that was worth less than what they paid, or worthless
- Strides denies the claims and no court has ruled that anyone broke the law
- Strides agreed to settle, reformulate the product, and keep testing it going forward
- About 95,000 people are believed to be in the class
