FAQ

Who qualifies for the PSEA data breach settlement?
You qualify if you are a natural person in the United States whose personal information was potentially compromised in the PSEA data incident that occurred on or around July 6, 2024. If you received a notification from PSEA around March 18, 2025, you are very likely included.
What types of personal information were exposed in the breach?
The incident potentially exposed a wide range of sensitive data, including full names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, state ID numbers, financial account numbers, account PINs, security codes, passwords, routing numbers, payment card numbers and PINs, passport numbers, taxpayer ID numbers, health insurance information, and medical information.
How much money can I receive from this settlement?
You have two options. You can claim up to $5,000 for documented, unreimbursed out-of-pocket losses that are traceable to the breach. If you do not have documentation, you can claim a flat $50 cash payment -- no receipts required. The $50 amount is subject to proration if a high volume of claims is filed. Either way, you can also add two years of free credit monitoring.
What is the deadline to file a claim?
The deadline to submit a claim is July 6, 2026, whether you file online or by mail. The opt-out and objection deadlines are also July 6, 2026.
Do I need my Class Member ID and PIN to file online?
Yes. To file online at claimsettlementportal.com/PSEA, you need the Class Member ID and PIN that were included in the mailed notice. If you did not receive a notice but believe you qualify, contact the administrator at 1-800-465-8066 or PSEADataSettlement@rg2claims.com.
Can I claim both a cash payment and credit monitoring?
Yes. Credit monitoring is available in addition to whichever cash benefit you select -- you do not have to choose between them.
What happens if I do nothing?
If you take no action, you remain in the settlement class and are legally bound by its terms. You release your claims against PSEA but receive no money. The only way to receive a payment is to submit a valid claim form by July 6, 2026.
When will payments be sent out?
Payments will be issued after the court grants final approval of the settlement. The Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for July 27, 2026, so payments are not expected to go out before late 2026 at the earliest. Check pseadatasettlement.com for updated timelines.
