Oak View Group Data Breach Settlement 2026 -- File a Claim by August 15
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Oak View Group's November 2023 data breach exposed Social Security numbers and IDs. File by August 15, 2026 for up to $5,000 or two years of free credit monitoring. The live events giant left your identity backstage with the door propped open, so the least it can do is pay for the cleanup.
What happened
Class period: There is no purchase-based class period. Eligibility is based on having your PII compromised in the November 2023 Data Incident, for which Oak View provided notice on or about January 2024. Documented out-of-pocket losses must have occurred between November 26, 2023 and August 15, 2026.
- In November 2023, Oak View Group, LLC was hit by a targeted cyberattack on its computer systems. Certain files containing private information were accessed.
- The exposed data may have included full names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, demographic information, and driver's license or state or federal identification numbers.
- A class action, Andersen et al. v. Oak View Group, LLC, followed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Oak View denies it did anything wrong, and no court has decided who is right. Both sides agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of a trial.
