$2,000 Keystone RV Passport Settlement: How to Claim
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Keystone Passport Western Edition trailer owners in California can claim a flat $2,000. Proof of ownership required. File by Aug 28, 2026. Confirming you qualify may mean unscrewing the bathroom vent and looking up at what the brochure called galvanized steel.
What happened
Class period: Trailers purchased new before December 1, 2019
- Keystone RV Company sold Passport Brand Western Edition travel trailers through authorized dealerships in California.
- The lawsuit alleges Keystone built the trailers with wood roof trusses while its materials described "5 [inch] Crowned / Stamped Galvanized Steel Roof Trusses" until December 2019.
- Plaintiff brought claims under the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act, the Unfair Competition Law, the False Advertising Law, and common law unjust enrichment.
- Keystone denies the claims and denies wrongdoing. It says some class trailers have metal trusses.
- The Court ruled in February 2026 that the case could proceed as a class action, and entered Judgment against Keystone on June 23, 2026 for $2,000.00 per class member who currently owns a class trailer with wood roof trusses.
- On June 30, 2026, the Court approved the plan of distribution, which lets class members submit a Request for Payment.

- Trailers with metal roof trusses are not eligible and do not need to submit a Request for Payment.
- Own more than one class trailer? Submit a separate Request for Payment for each VIN.
- Keystone can dispute whether your trailer has wood trusses or whether you own it, and may ask for more proof.
- The official site says a visual truss inspection through the bathroom vent takes about 20 to 25 minutes.
- Payments may be taxable. The administrator advises getting your own tax advice.
- False statements can lead to denial and possible penalties.
- Only use the official site. No one legitimate will charge you a fee to file.
