Hustler Hollywood FACTA Settlement 2026 -- Claim $23 Cash and Free Credit Monitoring
By eosguide editorial · Last updated
Hustler Hollywood settled a class action over printing too many card digits on receipts -- shoppers may claim $23 cash and free Equifax credit monitoring. A store built on showing more than expected applied the same philosophy to your credit card number.
What happened
Class period: October 20, 2018 through February 26, 2025
- Federal law (FACTA -- the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act) requires that printed receipts show no more than the last five digits of a customer's credit or debit card number, and must not print the card's expiration date
- Plaintiff Amber Manassa alleged that Hustler Hollywood retail stores printed receipts that disclosed more than the last five digits of customers' card numbers during certain time periods between October 20, 2018 and February 26, 2025
- Hustler Hollywood (operated by HH-Entertainment, Inc.) denies any wrongdoing and denies liability to the plaintiff or any class members
- The parties agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of further litigation -- no admission of liability has been made by the defendant
