What happened

Class period: January 1, 2016 through the present

• The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sued Central Transport LLC in federal court in Arizona, Case No. 2:26-cv-02201-JJT.
• The EEOC said Central Transport had a nationwide pattern of sex discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by refusing to hire qualified female truck driver applicants because they are women.
• The EEOC also said the company failed to keep hiring records that Title VII rules require it to keep.
• Central Transport denies the claims but agreed to settle. A judge signed the Consent Decree on May 14, 2026.
• The company will pay $5,500,000 total to the four original complainants and to other qualified women who applied and were not hired.
• Affected applicants can also apply for jobs at Central Transport again without discrimination or retaliation.

How to file

1. Go to the official claim site at https://eeoccentraltransport.claims-administrator.com/
2. Complete the Claim Form and Release with your name, any former names, address, phone, and email
3. Answer the job history questions: where and roughly when you applied, whether you were denied the job, whether you are female, and whether you held a CDL A
4. Sign the substitute W-9 and give your Social Security number so the payment can be reported to the IRS
5. Enter your bank routing and account details to elect your payment method
6. Submit online, or mail or email the paper form to the Settlement Administrator
7. Your form must be received or postmarked by September 14, 2026

Proof required

• No receipts, pay stubs, or job application copies are required to file
• You answer the eligibility questions on the Claim Form yourself and sign it
• A Social Security number is required on the substitute W-9 section for tax reporting
• The Settlement Administrator reviews every form for completeness and plausibility and may ask you for more information later
• If the EEOC finds you are an Eligible Payee, you will be sent a release to sign before payment

No payment date has been announced. The EEOC reviews claim forms and decides who is eligible, then sends a release to sign before any money goes out.
