What happened

Class period: January 1, 2020 through March 13, 2024

Sportsman's Warehouse, Inc. and Sportsman's Warehouse Holdings, Inc. are accused of sharing information about customers' online firearm reservations with third parties without consent. The lawsuit alleges this violated two Pennsylvania statutes: the Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act (WESCA) and the Uniform Firearms Act (UFA). Pennsylvania resident Adam Petris filed the suit on behalf of customers who used the company's website to reserve firearms for in-store pickup between January 1, 2020, and March 13, 2024. The defendants deny all wrongdoing. Rather than continue through trial, both sides agreed to settle.
