Gen Digital Norton LifeLock Robocall Settlement 2026 - File a Claim by April 13
Gen Digital, the parent company of Norton antivirus and LifeLock identity protection, is paying $9.95 million to settle claims it made prerecorded robocalls to people who weren't even their customers. If your cell phone received one of those calls between February 2021 and October 2025 about a Norton or LifeLock account you never had, you may be owed $200 to $625. Turns out calling strangers about their nonexistent accounts has a price tag after all.
What happened
Class period: February 19, 2021 through October 30, 2025
Gen Digital Inc., the company behind Norton and LifeLock, allegedly placed prerecorded or artificial voice calls to cell phones belonging to people who had no account with either service. These calls, made between February 19, 2021 and October 30, 2025, discussed LifeLock or Norton account matters with people who had absolutely no idea what Gen was talking about.
Plaintiff Michelle Jackson filed a class action lawsuit alleging these calls violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), which prohibits using prerecorded or artificial voices to call cell phones without prior consent. Gen denies all wrongdoing and denies it violated the TCPA. The court did not decide who was right. The parties agreed to a $9.95 million settlement to resolve the claims.
