Copa America Final Match Class Action Settlement: Claim Up to $2,000 If You Were Denied Entry to Hard Rock Stadium
A $14 million class action settlement has been reached over the chaotic July 14, 2024 Copa America Final Match at Hard Rock Stadium — if you held a valid ticket and were denied entry or denied access to your seat, file a claim by August 11, 2026 to receive up to $2,000.
What happened
Class period: July 14, 2024 (Copa America Final Match at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, FL)
- The July 14, 2024 Copa America Final Match between Argentina and Colombia at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami devolved into a ticketing and crowd management disaster, leaving thousands of valid ticketholders locked out or unable to reach their seats
- Valid ticketholders were either completely denied entry to the stadium despite presenting legitimate tickets, or were let in but then blocked from accessing stadium facilities or the specific seats they had purchased
- A class action lawsuit (Case No. 1:24-cv-22751-BB) was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against South Florida Stadium LLC, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, and BEST Crowd Management, Inc., alleging negligence in how the event was managed
- The defendants deny all wrongdoing but agreed to a $14 million settlement to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation
- The settlement creates two classes: the Denied Entry Class (ticketholders turned away entirely) and the Denied Full Access Class (ticketholders admitted but denied proper access)
What you can get
Denied Entry Class
Up to $2,000 per ticket
Includes reimbursement of out-of-pocket ticket and travel costs (travel up to $300 per person); subject to pro-rata adjustment if claims exceed the fund Denied Full Access Class

On your Claim Form you can request payment via Venmo, PayPal, ACH, or Zelle; paper checks are also available but expire 90 days after issuance. A second distribution round may occur for any uncashed or undelivered payments from the first round.
